The Phoenix Park ‘n Swap first opened in the early 1960’s when the management team at American Greyhound Racing decided to better utilize their empty parking lot when the racetrack was closed. This was a great use of underutilized space. And while it started with just three vendors and a drink stand, it was their foresight that led to the market known throughout the Phoenix area today.

Since then the swap meet has expanded to over one thousand vendor selling spaces, vehicle sales in Auto Row and year round amusement rides. Each year Park ‘n Swap entertains more than a million visitors.
